Just a couple of really basic tips for Xero. It’s amazing how many times users don’t pick this up in their training. So let’s get down to the real basics.
Opening Multiple Tabs
To open up multiple tabs in Xero, when you select/click an option, do this:
1. Use your scroll button on your mouse to click on your selection or
2. Hold your ctrl button down while clicking or
3. Right click on your selection, choose open link in new tab.
I like using my scroll button as you only need to only use one hand and click once. You can open up as many tabs as you like. I usually work with 4 or 5 tabs open for convenience.
Inbuilt Calculator
There is an inbuilt calculator in the unit price field in every Xero data entry screen.
No need to enter = or + first. Just type your first number and use +, -, *, / as required, then enter. e.g. 115/1.15 62*9
