Have a problem getting receipts from the card holder on a timely basis? Teach them to take a photo of the receipt as soon as they make the purchase – after signing and coding it – and upload to Xero through the mobile phone app. Quick and easy, it will hopefully minimise lost and late receipts.
Simplest way is just to upload a photo through the app. Download the Xero app through your app store and make sure the cardholder has standard user permissions set up.
On an Android
On the Dashboard, tap on the 3 dots in the top right hand corner.
Tap Files Inbox.
Tap 3 dots.
Take photo. Select OK if you’re happy with it.
It will display in the inbox as Mobile Date xxxx.jpg
On an Iphone
From the Dashboard, tap + in the top right hand corner.
Tap “Upload to Files Inbox”.
Take Photo
“Use Photo” if you’re happy with it
When you reconcile the credit card, choose add details, click on the files icon, add from file library, and select the relevant file. Add files.
